Gajare Photography (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website and our services, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It is written to be consistent with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

2. Information we collect
When you send an enquiry or check availability. Your name, WhatsApp or mobile number, email address (if given), event type and name, event date and times, location, services required, estimated budget, any details you add, and how you heard about us.
When you contact us by WhatsApp, phone or email. Your number and the details you share with us in messages and calls.
When you book us. Details needed for your quotation, booking and payment, such as your name, contact details, event details, and proof of payment.
When we photograph or film your event. Photos and videos of you, your family and your guests, and details you give us about the event, such as ceremonies, venue and timings.
When you use our website. Technical and usage data such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and clicks on the WhatsApp, call, email and enquiry buttons. We collect this through cookies and analytics tools.
3. How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry, confirm our availability and send you a quotation.
- To plan and deliver your photography and video services, including editing, films and albums.
- To manage your booking, payments and delivery, and to send confirmations and updates.
- To show our work in our portfolio, stories, website, social media and promotions (see section 4).
- To understand how people use our website and to improve it.
- To keep records and meet legal, tax and accounting requirements.
- To protect our website from spam and misuse.
4. Photos and videos of your event
Our portfolio is made of real events. We keep the copyright to the images we create and may use photos and videos from your event on our website, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Google Business Profile and in promotional material, unless we have agreed otherwise.
- If you prefer that we do not use your images, tell us in writing (email or WhatsApp), before the event or at any time afterwards. We will stop using them in new material and remove them from our website and social pages as soon as we reasonably can. We cannot recall material that has already been printed or shared by others.
- We do not sell your images or use them for any purpose other than our own portfolio, promotion and service delivery.
- For images of children (for example baby shower, birthday and maternity shoots), we ask the parent or legal guardian to confirm consent before we publish.
5. Our basis for using your information
We use your information because you gave us consent (for example by submitting the enquiry form and ticking the consent box), because we need it to provide the services you asked for, or because the law requires it. You can withdraw your consent at any time, as explained in section 9.
6. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers that help us run our website and business, such as web hosting, email and form handling.
- Google, for website analytics (Google Analytics and Search Console), and YouTube, which hosts our films.
- The photographers, videographers, editors, album designers and printers who work on your event, only as much as they need to do their job.
- Authorities, if the law requires us to.
7. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar tools to remember your choices, measure visits (Google Analytics) and play embedded videos (YouTube). You can accept or reject non-essential cookies in the cookie notice on our website, and you can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site work. Videos from YouTube may set their own cookies when you play them; please see Google’s privacy policy for details.
8. How long we keep your information
- Enquiries that do not become bookings: only for as long as needed to follow up with you.
- Booking, quotation and payment records: for as long as needed for our accounts and legal requirements.
- Event photo and video files: we keep backup copies for a reasonable period after delivery, and selected work may remain in our portfolio unless you ask us to remove it.
- Website analytics data: according to the retention setting in our analytics account.
When we no longer need information, we delete or anonymise it.
9. Your rights
You may, at any time:
- ask what personal information we hold about you and how we use it;
- ask us to correct or update it;
- ask us to erase it, unless the law requires us to keep it;
- withdraw your consent, including consent to use your images;
- nominate another person to exercise these rights for you if you are unable to; and
- raise a complaint with us about how we handle your information.

10. Children
Our website is meant for adults. We collect personal information about a child only through a parent or legal guardian, for example when booking a baby shower, maternity, birthday or family shoot. We do not track or target children with advertising.
11. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including secure (HTTPS) connections, updated software, restricted admin access and regular backups. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
12. Where your information is stored
Some of our service providers, such as Google, may store or process information on servers outside India. We use providers that apply appropriate safeguards.
13. Links to other websites
Our website links to Google, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and WhatsApp. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the latest version. If we make a significant change, we will say so on our website.
